While this piece is an absolute staple in most people’s wardrobes, it doesn’t fit all of us alike: its sturdy, rigid fabric doesn’t always accomodate all body types and the regular cuts definitely don’t look good on all of us: if you are particularly curvy, full figured or long legged you might have trouble finding jeans that fit, not to mention whose cut flatters your body !
If you want to step up your jean game, here you have some tips to make them look as good as possible:
-Figure out what cut looks best on you: Not every cut is flattering in every body type. For example, skinny jeans tend to look best in smaller frames with long legs while boot cuts are flattering for curvy girls with big hips. Research also if your body type is best suited for high or low rise jeans: high rise emphasize the hips and look best on chubbier girls with big hips and tights while low rise are flattering on small boned frames.
-Get them tailored: If you have a pair of jeans that you adore, but that don’t fit quite right don’t hesitate and get them tailored. While it might be a little bit expensive, it is absolutely worth it to look your best in your favourite pair of jeans. Same thing if they break: don’t throw them away, they can probably be mended by less than a new pair would cost !
-Consider jeggings: They look just as good as jeans do, but they fit your contours better, molding to your curves. However, they might show off those areas you don’t feel too confident in !
